American Gaming Association Report Shows US Online Gambling on the Rise

On Wednesday, May 9, the American Gaming Association (AGA) made available their annual “State of the Union” report concerning commercial gaming and gambling in the United States. While much of the report didn’t offer any earth-shattering news, one section of the report revealed interesting data that was collected through surveys the AGA conducted both on and off-line this year and last. Those surveys were conducted in the hopes of shining some light on exactly what types of gaming Americans enjoyed during 2011 as opposed to 2010.

Steve Wynn and Social Gamer Zynga Talk Possible Partnership

Brick and mortar casino giant Steve Wynn got involved in developing casinos at just the right time, and has profited wildly from helping Las Vegas reemerge in the 90’s as the top global gambling destination. Though Steve Wynn may be a dedicated vegan, he and his company executives have recently been talking turkey with social game developer Zynga about some possible business relationships online in the future. Obviously Wynn Resorts is looking for access to Zynga’s massive, global customer base, which includes more than 230 million monthly users who actively play their social media games in more than 160 countries.
