Senators Vote To Ban Smoking In NJ Casinos

Approximately a year ago, New Jersey placed a public smoking ban in effect, and on Thursday, the Senate voted 35-0 unanimously to close the exception that currently exists for casinos and horse race simulcasting events. The vote has yet to go to the Assembly.

The current New Jersey Smoke Free Air Actof 2006 says that will be no cigarette, pipe, or cigar smoking in public places such as malls, office buildings, bars, and restaurants.

New Jersey’s Smoke-Free Air Act of 2006 bars cigarette, pipe and cigar smoking in most indoor places in the state, including shopping malls, office buildings, restaurants and bars. A year ago that Act excempted casinos, in the fear that it would hurt the industry. At this time the exception it is being reconsidered to also ban casinos and race tracks. The only remaining exemptions would be cigar bars, tobacco shops and private homes.

In February, Atlantic City Council supported a citywide smoking ban, which requires at least 75% of a casino floor to be smoke free. The law became active in April. The city has 11 casinos, and they complied in various ways. They created 5 non gambling smoking lounges where the customers can go to smoke, and then return to the tables or slots. Other options being used are to wall off sections of casinos to let some patrons smoke while gambling, and others gamble in a smoke free environment.

Game 3 NBA Finals —-UUUUUUUUUUUGLY

Man, for getting paid millions of dollars to play this game where you throw a ball through a hoop, these clowns couldn’t beat my high school basketball team. If I recall, this was reported to be one of the lowest scoring games in NBA Finals history. They couldn’t even shoot 60% combined from the charity line. It was so ugly it was funny. I suppose the step up in defense had a little something to do with it, but neither team played like a professional team.

I am looking for Cleveland Cavs to steal a game before SA shuts the door on them. I really like Clevand +3.5 and the over 176 in game 4. Here is a list of the most trusted Online Sportsbooks if you want to roll with me. You may also consider betting against Cleveland in the third quarter. They always come out slow and this has been a big money maker for me through out the playoffs. However their backs are up against the wall so tread lightly with that one.

Cavs Give Up With A Minute Left

I was blown away when I saw Coach Mike Brown of the Cleveland Cavaliers concede the game with 45 seconds left to go only down by 8. Cleveland had already made an outstanding comeback in the 4th quarter after cutting an 18 point lead down to eight, and why on earth this rocket scientist they have as a coach would give up being down 8 and 45 seconds to go is beyond me.

45 seconds is an eternity for crying out loud. How many times have we seen a team overcome an 8 point deficit in the last minute. Sure, its not likely, but it has certainly happened before. I just can’t believe in the NBA finals they would not at least take a shot to play the fouling game and see if they get lucky and hit a couple of threes. Maybe the coach was trying to get back to the hotel so he could catch Seinfeld, who knows. What I do know is that your an idiot of a coach giving up with 45 seconds to go only being down by 8. Nothing like showing your players your a damn quitter. Get a clue Mr Brown.
